QA Engineer – Agentic Test Automation

Overview
This role combines building and operating: you’ll design and maintain AI-driven test automation that simulates real user behaviour, while also investigating bugs, reproducing issues, and working with developers to ship fixes. You’ll have real ownership early. If you’re the kind of person who wants to understand how systems break and build the tooling that catches breakage before users do, this role is for you.
Responsibilities
Bug investigation & triage
Investigate and triage reported bugs, identifying root causes through logs, behaviour reproduction, and data analysis
Reproduce issues consistently and document findings with enough context for developers to act on
Implement fixes directly in straightforward cases; provide a clear investigative brief for complex ones
Contribute to internal support guides and debugging documentation based on investigation learnings
Agentic test automation
Design and implement end-to-end test scenarios using agentic AI to simulate realistic user workflows
Evaluate and integrate AI testing frameworks; propose approaches that improve coverage and reduce manual regression effort
Maintain and evolve the test suite as products change, keeping scenarios aligned with real usage patterns
Document the testing framework: architecture decisions, how to run it, how to extend it
Test design & coverage
Write and maintain manual test cases for new features and bug fixes, particularly in areas not yet automated
Use manual testing as the basis for automation — converting validated test cases into agentic scenarios
Maintain a clear picture of what’s covered and what isn’t, and prioritize automation efforts accordingly
Skills & experience
Required
CS degree or equivalent — comfortable writing code
Ability to read and reason about code across languages
Strong analytical and problem-solving instincts
Familiarity with AI/LLM tooling and genuine curiosity about the space
Clear written communication — bug reports and docs that stand on their own
Nice to have
Exposure to testing frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, pytest, etc.)
Experience with agentic AI frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, Claude tool use, etc.)
Familiarity with logging or monitoring tools
Prior QA, co-op, or internship experience in a software environment
Why this role matters
Manual QA doesn’t scale. Our goal is to build an AI-driven testing layer that simulates real users — catching edge cases, regression issues, and unexpected behaviour before they reach production. This role owns that initiative. You’ll be shaping how we think about quality as our products grow, not just reacting to what breaks. The automated suite is being built, not inherited — every manual test case is a candidate for automation, and shrinking that gap is part of the job.
