Lumiio’s Dr. Victoria Hodgkinson announced as a Top 40 Under 40 Award Winner

Lumiio is proud to announce that Dr. Victoria Hodgkinson, our Director of Real-World Evidence has been awarded Avenue Magazine’s Top 40 Under 40 Award for 2021! The Top 40 is a celebration of the best and brightest in Calgary with the award recipients changing the face of our innovative city.

Victoria is no stranger to hard work and breaking ground. Growing up as a competitive hockey player in Ontario, she went on to play in the U.S at the elite college level and played in Europe before obtaining her Ph.D. in biochemistry at the University of Missouri. In 2016 she joined the Canadian Neuromuscular Disease Registry and since then, has played an integral part in securing scientific research funding to improve care for rare disease patients.

As a Director at Lumiio and a recognised global expert in observational cohort studies, Victoria provides deep experience and insights into utilizing real-world evidence to improve the lives for those with rare and devastating diseases. The impact of her work is felt by patients, their families and generations to follow.

“I am a woman in science, and I want people to see me as a role model, as someone who can make an impact on the world,” she says. “I want my children to see that.”
